Recovering from back surgery

Living in Vacaville recovering from having  two disks removed and getting "posterior lumbar interbody fusion". A few parts removed, a few titanium screws, 2 rods, and 4 "cages" filled with artificial bone added . I will be wearing a removeable body brace for 6 months while the artificial bone fuses my low back together, only removing when bathing and in bed.  Losing the use of my legs has been a real trial. Most of my muscle is either gone or needs to be retrained to work again. My upper body is ok but legs look like a Nazi warcamp survivor. I lost weight down to 160 lbs, 5lbs under my high school grad weight. Luckily in the past two weeks I have been able to go from no legs to walking fairly well with a 4-wheeled walker. My stamina is poor as I have been mostly bedridden or seated for a couple months.

  1. I'm glad you are up and walking. It will take a while for stamina to build up, but it will. I think of how you looked when I first saw you, even to how you looked when I left. Huge difference.
    Keep on keepin on Bro!!!!!
